I’d like to welcome you to South Birmingham College. With more than 25,000 student enrolments, South Birmingham College is one of largest and most successful Government-Funded Colleges of Further Education in the UK.

I understand how important it is to make the right decisions about your education. I know how difficult it can be to decide which course, college or country to study in. At South Birmingham College we want to give you the best any college can offer and to help you in every way possible. We want your time here to be enjoyable. You will get the chance to make new friends as there are many social activities for students throughout the year.

You’ll find the College to be a very safe and friendly place to study as we do not tolerate any form of discrimination or bullying. Our students come from more than 20 countries around the world like Bangladesh, China, Congo, the Gambia, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Indonesia, Kenya, Jamaica, Mauritius, Malawi, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, South Korea, Tanzania, Thailand, Trinidad, Tobago, Uganda, Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe, so you’ll feel at home whichever country you come from! Whether you choose to stay with family or find your own place to stay we’ll support you whatever your needs.

Our success rates are above the national average; in fact we had one of the highest overall success rates of any college in the city. We were also recently rated highly in a Government Inspection, so if you want to study in England or the Midlands, then why not choose the best!

The College is more than 50 years old and we now have four state-of-the-art, purpose-built campuses like our Construction Campus which is the largest in the UK; a Women’s Academy; a Health, Beauty & Care Campus and a Performing Arts, Business, ICT & Media Campus that’s within easy reach of Birmingham city centre. We’re based in the Heart of England so you’re within easy reach of London, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Stratford-upon-Avon or anywhere in the UK

My staff and I are here for you. We will give you ongoing support, right from our visa application through to finding a place at university when you finish your course. If you have any questions or if you’d like to talk to one of our students then please contact our International Team and we’ll be more than happy to help you.

South Birmingham College is more than just a college; it’s the way to a better future for you.
