Are there any entry requirements?
This course is perfect for beginners who want to develop their skills in digital photography. There are no formal academic requirements, although it is useful if you have some experience of digital photography.

What will I study?
You will study 3 mandatory units, which are:
• Select, prepare and use camera equipment
• Develop and adapt photographic ideas creatively
• Produce and evaluate a range of photographic images

You will gain skills in:
• Using the camera
• Downloading images onto the computer
• Using Adobe Photoshop to improve image quality
• Using a computer suite with relevant software

What can I do after this course?
On successful completion of this course you could study a range of Media courses at South Birmingham College to develop your creative digital skills e.g. BTEC National Diploma in E-Media.
