Are there any entry requirements?
To enrol on this course you will need the BTEC Introductory Diploma: Hospitality, Travel & Tourism or an equivalent Level 1 qualification. Alternatively you will need 4 GCSEs at grade D or equivalent and will be required to undertake a Literacy and Numeracy assessment.

Students who are most successful on this course tend to be those who have lively and enquiring minds, are interested in Travel & Tourism and are willing to explore new ideas and communicate those ideas effectively.

What will I study?
This course is ideal if you plan to pursue a career in the Travel & Tourism Industry, and is particularly suitable if you want introductory training before applying to work in Travel & Tourism organisations next year.

You will study the following units:
Introduction to the Travel & Tourism Industry
European holiday destinations
Introduction to customer services in Travel & Tourism
Introduction to marketing in Travel & Tourism
UK Travel & Tourism destinations
Planning visits

You will also have the opportunity to study extra industry-related qualifications.

What can I do after this course?
On successful completion of this course you will be equipped with the basic skills and knowledge necessary to find employment in the ever expanding Travel & Tourism Industry e.g. jobs in travel companies. You could also progress onto higher level qualifications like the BTEC National Diploma: Travel & Tourism.
